As Christians we use Mighty Spiritual Weapons, the Armour of God, in our Spiritual War against evil.

There are 7 crucial pieces of spiritual armour that we must always wear, according to Ephesians 6:10-18 they include:

1. THE GIRDLE OF TRUTH

Eph 6:14 - Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place.

The belt of truth is the Gospel of Salvation in Jesus Christ.
We must obey, live and practice the truth of God’s word in our day-to-day lives.

Acts 4:12 – “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

2. THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Eph 6:14 - Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place.

The battle is won through the Supreme Power, Name and Righteousness of Jesus Christ.

Brotherly love protects us. Satan and his demons flee. Evil cannot dwell in a love environment.

1 Thess 5:8 - But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.

1 Cor 13:4-8 - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

3. THE SHOES OF THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE

Eph 6:15 - and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

’Preparation’ means to be ready with the Gospel of Peace.
Studying, learning and communicating God’s word daily.

4. THE HELMET OF SALVATION

Jesus Christ is our salvation. Our minds are protected through his precious blood poured out for the forgiveness of our sins.

Eph 6:17 - Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

2 Cor 10:3-5 - For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

5. THE SHIELD OF FAITH

The Shield of Faith is the belief, trust and confidence in Almighty God and his Supreme Power.

Eph 4:16 - In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

Heb 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

6. THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT - THE WORD OF GOD

The word of God is sharper than any double-edged sword, protecting us from satan’s attacks.

Our war against evil also means quoting scripture which blocks the enemies attacks.

Eph 6:17 - Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Heb 4:12 - For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

7. PRAY IN THE SPIRIT

With different Prayers and Requests.

Eph 6:18 - And pray in the spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

The Holy Bible tells us about deliverance from demons. Demons (evil spirits) are real, and all believers in Christ have the authority to cast out demons, according to:

Mark 16:17 - And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues.

Luke 10:19 - Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

The Bible tells us that our war is not against flesh and blood but against the powers of this dark world and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms, and that we are to put on the full armour of God, according to:

Eph 6:10-17 - Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

STEPS TO DELIVERANCE:

1. WE MUST BE SAVED (Stating our faith in Jesus Christ, his crucifixion and resurrection, in prayer) and repent (Confession and renunciation of our sins to God).

DELIVERANCE PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ I believe you died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. I am redeemed, sanctified and justified by your precious blood and your perfect sacrifice has cleansed me from all my sins.
Please fill my life with the Holy Spirit, come into my life and help me to stop sinning.
I come to you now, as my deliverer. I claim the promise of your word in Acts 2:21,
"And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

I confess and renounce all my sins, past and present, known and unknown, (example: unforgiveness, selfishness etc).

In Jesus Name, I forgive everyone who has ever hurt me. I forgive (names of relatives and/or others may be included here). I bless, love and pray for them.

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to you, my Lord Jesus Christ, according to Matt 28:18.

I claim the promise of your word, in Mark 16:17, "And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons," and we thank you for giving us all power and authority over all demons.

I cover everyone seeking deliverance in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ.
I cover my body, mind, soul and spirit in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ.
I cover my home in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ.

I thank you Jesus, for deliverance from demons and demonic attacks.

I declare that all demons have no legal grounds to operate in my life and I bind and cast out all demons, right now, in Jesus Name!

2. FORGIVENESS (regardless of the offence) as well as blessing, praying & having brotherly love for our enemies is crucial to a successful deliverance.
One cannot proceed with deliverance unless there is forgiveness from the heart, for everyone who has ever hurt or offended us in any way whatsoever.

Matt 6:14 - For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Blessings have a boomerang effect, thereby returning to the sender.
Witchcraft and slander (spreading false and damaging information about others), also work on a sowing and reaping principle, thereby returning to the sender.
There is grave danger for anyone who curses or prays against a servant of God.
It has no effect on a Child of God and automatically returns to the sender because
again it operates on a sowing and reaping principle.
Although we never associate with enemies, we are also never to harbor negative feelings and emotions such as anger, hatred or bitterness, in our hearts, towards other people as this can bring other more evil spirits and attach themselves to a person.

Gal 6:7 - Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

Matt 5:44 - But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.

Demons operate in a hate environment. God is love and where there is brotherly love, demons flee and they have no legal grounds to operate:

James 4:7 - Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

We are never to judge other people and Christians, are in the process of being perfected by God.
God's standard and judgment is different to human standard and judgment.

Luke 6:36-38 - Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.

Although, we are to rebuke sinners and expose evil.

Luke 17:3 - So watch yourselves. "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him."

Eph 5:11 - Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

3. CASTING OUT DEMONS should be on a daily basis to protect against any spiritual demonic attacks on the body, mind, soul and physical demonic attacks on the house, car or other objects.

WE ALWAYS BIND FIRST AND THEN COMMAND ALL DEMONS TO LEAVE IN JESUS NAME.

I bind and command all demons to come out of our bodies, will, minds, emotions and personality, in Jesus Name.
I bind and command all demons to leave our homes, in Jesus Name.
I bind and command all demons that were sent to us, transferred to us, or followed us, to leave us now in Jesus Name.

4. WE COMMIT OURSELVES AND OUR ENTIRE LIVES TOTALLY TO GOD AND ALLOW CHRIST TO LIVE IN US.
We also fill our lives with the NINE FRUITS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:

Gal 5:22-23 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

* LOVE
* JOY
* PEACE
* PATIENCE
* KINDNESS
* GOODNESS
* FAITHFULNESS
* HUMILITY
* SELF-CONTROL

The reason we must fill our bodies with the fruits of the Holy Spirit, is that, once we
have cast out the demons, the body is empty, and if we don't fill it with the fruits, other more wicked spirits start to dwell in the body, and the person's condition is worse than prior to deliverance, as we read in scripture:

Matt 12:43 - When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

When we pray to God, he will show us the sins and weaknesses in our lives.
He will help us in those areas and we must do our part as Christians.

5. PRAISE AND WORSHIP MUSIC, PRAYER AND FASTING are powerful spiritual weapons against satan and his demons.

Pleading the Blood of Jesus Christ, spiritually on the body, mind, soul, spirit and physically, on the home, car and other objects, protects us from human or demonic attacks.

Pleading the Blood of Jesus on a daily basis gives us protection and prevents any attacks from the enemy.

The right hand of God signifies God's Supreme Power, Majesty, Strength, Deliverance, Protection and Salvation.

Isai 41:10 - So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isai 48:13 - My own hand laid the foundations of the earth, and my right hand spread out the heavens; when I summon them, they all stand up together.

Exod 15:6,12 - "Your right hand, O LORD, was majestic n power. Your right hand,
O LORD, shattered the enemy."
You stretched out your right hand and the earth swallowed them.

Psalm 98:1 - Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.

Psalm 138:7 - Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes, with your right hand you save me.

We hold out our right hand, palm facing forward, showing God that we are serious
about needing his Supernatural protection.

Make a list of items that require protection. For example:

6. Objects (e.g. computer)
7. Finances.

Father, we plead the Precious Blood of Jesus on ____________ (e.g. our body, soul, spirit and mind).

We plead the Precious Blood of Jesus against any satanic/demonic attacks.

We plead the Precious Blood of Jesus against any human attacks.

We plead the Precious Blood of Jesus against any sicknesses, diseases or illnesses.

We plead the Precious Blood of Jesus against any calamities, disasters or destruction.

We believe in the Precious Power and Blood of Jesus Christ protecting us against any attacks and claim the promise of your word in: 1 John 3:22 - and receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him.

According to Deuteronomy 28, God Promises Blessings for Obedience.

For example:

1. Exaltation (e.g. above not beneath & exalted above enemies).
2. Health (good physical condition).
3. Reproductiveness.
4. Prosperity (spiritual, physical or financial).
5. Victory (e.g. triumph over enemies).
6. God's Favour (being honoured by God).

Deut 28:1-14 - 1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God: 3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. 4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. 5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. 6 You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. 7 The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. 8 The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. God also promises Curses for Disobedience.

Sins relating to disobedience include:

1. Anti-semitism (cursing/criticizing Jewish people).
2. Idolatry (e.g. witchcraft & worshipping false gods).
3. Sexual Immorality/all forms of illicit or unnatural sexual relationships
(e.g. incest, bestiality, homosexuality, fornication, adultery).
4. Dishonouring/disrespecting parents.
5. Oppression and Injustice toward the physically poor (e.g. homeless) and weak/helpless (e.g. abortion).
6. Self-reliance (trusting in oneself and one’s own riches or possessions).
7. Theft or stealing (taking what belongs to someone else).
8. Perjury (bearing false witness).

Curses relating to disobedience:

For example:

1. Barrenness (Unfruitfulness).
2. Disease (sickness, illness, infirmity).
3. Poverty (Insufficiency of food or money).
4. Defeat or Failure.
5. God's Disfavour.

Deut 28:15-68 - 15 However, if you do not obey the LORD your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come upon you and overtake you: 16 You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the country. 17 Your basket and your kneading trough will be cursed. 18 The fruit of your womb will be cursed, and the crops of your land, and the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. 19 You will be cursed when you come in and cursed when you go out. 20 The LORD will send on you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in forsaking him. 21 The LORD will plague you with diseases until he has destroyed you from the land you are entering to possess. 22 The LORD will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, with blight and mildew, which will plague you until you perish. 23 The sky over your head will be bronze, the ground beneath you iron. 24 The LORD will turn the rain of your country into dust and powder; it will come down from the skies until you are destroyed. 25 The LORD will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You will come at them from one direction but flee from them in seven, and you will become a thing of horror to all the kingdoms on earth. 26 Your carcasses will be food for all the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and there will be no one to frighten them away. 27 The LORD will afflict you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors, festering sores and the itch, from which you cannot be cured. 28 The LORD will afflict you with madness, blindness and confusion of mind. 29 At midday you will grope about like a blind man in the dark. You will be unsuccessful in everything you do; day after day you will be oppressed and robbed, with no one to rescue you. 30 You will be pledged to be married to a woman, but another will take her and ravish her. You will build a house, but you will not live in it. You will plant a vineyard, but you will not even begin to enjoy its fruit. 31 Your ox will be slaughtered before your eyes, but you will eat none of it. Your donkey will be forcibly taken from you and will not be returned. Your sheep will be given to your enemies, and no one will rescue them. 32 Your sons and daughters will be given to another nation, and you will wear out your eyes watching for them day after day, powerless to lift a hand. 33 A people that you do not know will eat what your land and labor produce, and you will have nothing but cruel oppression all your days. 34 The sights you see will drive you mad. 35 The LORD will afflict your knees and legs with painful boils that cannot be cured, spreading from the soles of your feet to the top of your head. 36 The LORD will drive you and the king you set over you to a nation unknown to you or your fathers. There you will worship other gods, gods of wood and stone. 37 You will become a thing of horror and an object of scorn and ridicule to all the nations where the LORD will drive you. 38 You will sow much seed in the field but you will harvest little, because locusts will devour it. 39 You will plant vineyards and cultivate them but you will not drink the wine or gather the grapes, because worms will eat them. 40 You will have olive trees throughout your country but you will not use the oil, because the olives will drop off. 41 You will have sons and daughters but you will not keep them, because they will go into captivity. 42 Swarms of locusts will take over all your trees and the crops of your land. 43 The alien who lives among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower. 44 He will lend to you, but you will not lend to him. He will be the head, but you will be the tail. 45 All these curses will come upon you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the LORD your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you. 46 They will be a sign and a wonder to you and your descendants forever. 47 Because you did not serve the LORD your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity, 48 therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the LORD sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you. 49 The LORD will bring a nation against you from far away, from the ends of the earth, like an eagle swooping down, a nation whose language you will not understand, 50 a fierce-looking nation without respect for the old or pity for the young. 51 They will devour the young of your livestock and the crops of your land until you are destroyed. They will leave you no grain, new wine or oil, nor any calves of your herds or lambs of your flocks until you are ruined. 52 They will lay siege to all the cities throughout your land until the high fortified walls in which you trust fall down. They will besiege all the cities throughout the land the LORD your God is giving you. 53 Because of the suffering that your enemy will inflict on you during the siege, you will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the LORD your God has given you. 54 Even the most gentle and sensitive man among you will have no compassion on his own brother or the wife he loves or his surviving children, 55 and he will not give to one of them any of the flesh of his children that he is eating. It will be all he has left because of the suffering your enemy will inflict on you during the siege of all your cities. 56 The most gentle and sensitive woman among you—so sensitive and gentle that she would not venture to touch the ground with the sole of her foot—will begrudge the husband she loves and her own son or daughter 57 the afterbirth from her womb and the children she bears. For she intends to eat them secretly during the siege and in the distress that your enemy will inflict on you in your cities. 58 If you do not carefully follow all the words of this law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and awesome name—the LORD your God- 59 the LORD will send fearful plagues on you and your descendants, harsh and prolonged disasters, and severe and lingering illnesses. 60 He will bring upon you all the diseases of Egypt that you dreaded, and they will cling to you. 61 The LORD will also bring on you every kind of sickness and disaster not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are destroyed. 62 You who were as numerous as the stars in the sky will be left but few in number, because you did not obey the LORD your God. 63 Just as it pleased the LORD to make you prosper and increase in number, so it will please him to ruin and destroy you. You will be uprooted from the land you are entering to possess. 64 Then the LORD will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship other gods—gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your fathers have known. 65 Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the LORD will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart. 66 You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life. 67 In the morning you will say, "If only it were evening!" and in the evening, "If only it were morning!"-because of the terror that will fill your hearts and the sights that your eyes will see. 68 The LORD will send you back in ships to Egypt on a journey I said you should never make again. There you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you.

Gifts of the Holy Spirit

Supernatural gifts are given to true believers, the members of the Body of Christ.
A different gift to each believer - 1 Cor 12:1-11.

There are three main categories:

Revelation (Wisdom, Knowledge, Discernment).
I've experienced the gift of discernment in which I was able to hear what was happening in the spiritual or supernatural realm. A war or battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil, between light and darkness.

Power (Faith, Healing, Miracles).

Vocal Gifts (Speaking in Tongues, Interpretation of Tongues, Prophecy).

There are nine Gifts of the Holy Spirit:

1. Knowledge: Word of knowledge directly from God, messages from angels, through dreams, visions and prophecy.
e.g. John on the Island of Patmos - Rev 1:10-20 through vision;
Jesus at the well with the woman from Samaria - John 4:18;
Ananias and Sapphira from God - Acts 5:1-4.

2. Wisdom: Wisdom to be able to foretell future events.
Wisdom and knowledge go together.
e.g. Agabus about drought and famine - Acts 11:28 for Church to prepare;
Paul's shipwreck - Acts 27:10 - to preserve the lives of those who hear and obey.

3. Discerning of Spirits: 'Discern' means to perceive or distinguish through sight or sound.
Distinguish between good spirits and evil spirits;
between truth and error ie. true doctrine from false doctrine;
true ministers from false ministers - Acts 16:16-18.

4. Faith: Wonder-working faith in order to receive miracles, healing or cast out demons.
e.g. Mark 9:23.

5. Miracles: God displays His Mighty Power through a true believer.
e.g. Moses on Egypt - Exo 7-14;
Jesus feeding the five thousand - John 6:5-14;
God's divine judgment on Ananias and Sapphira - Acts 5:1-10.

6. Healing: Supernatural healing of sickness, illness, disease and infirmity - John 14:12.

7. Prophecy: Supernaturally speaking in a known tongue.
e.g. Paul at Philip's House - Acts 21:8-11.
